John Hampson – Strip Jack Naked – First UK Edition 1934 – SIGNED and Inscribed + Letters Heinemann
A first edition, first printing published by Heinemann in 1934. A little bumping to the board corners. Spotting to the edges of the text block. IN the near fine unclipped wrapper with slith crasing to the top edge and a neat tape repair to the head and spine panel. Presentation copy inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper by the author, ‘To Mary Frances McHugh with the warm regards of John Hampson Simpson. May 1934’. Laid in are the author’s Christmas greetings for 1937 written on a blank postcard and his calling card, inscribed by him on the back: ‘Thought you would like to have this. John H’. A superb copy with these factors.
